AMG 557
AMG 557 is a fully human monoclonal antibody that binds to B7 related protein (B7RP-1) that is being evaluated for its ability to prevent functional interaction with inducible co-stimulator (ICOS) on activated T cells.  Enhanced ICOS activity may lead to inappropriate and pathologic T and B cell responses associated with autoimmunity.  Disrupting the ICOS-B7RP-1 pathway with AMG 557 is being investigated for its potential utility in autoimmune diseases such as SLE.
